Welcome to this Release Anxiety Four Day Challenge

My name is Anna Ritchie and I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist.

I’ve started to put together some challenges which I share on my Facebook Group, Believe, Achieve, Succeed. The great thing about using the Facebook platform for these events is that, not only can we learn from people with similar interests, the members of the group often share their experiences and offer support and encouragement.

Not everyone, however, is a member of Facebook so I’ve created this page to share outside the group with the hope that it will be of help and comfort to people during these difficult times. I hope you enjoy it!


About this Challenge . . .

If that out of control, panicky feeling is familiar to you then this challenge is just the ticket!

Not only will you begin to manage any anxious feelings more successfully, you’ll even begin to enjoy the process.

Each day has an introductory video, some small daily tasks and a recording to listen to.

Work through each day in the order they’ve been set out and then you can mix and match any of the techniques from then on.

Day 1

Today is all about understanding what happens physiologically when we panic and become anxious.

From a place of understanding and awareness, we are better equipped to take the necessary steps to re-balance our mind.

In Day 1, you will learn a powerful breathing technique that will help to short-circuit the stress response.

Day 2

Day 2 is about engaging with nature.

Nature is one of the most precious gifts we have at our disposal and it’s free!

Today I would love to encourage you to connect with nature in some way, either by going for a walk, tending to a garden or house plant or even sketching or painting a picture of nature.

One of the tasks for today is to use all of our senses when we are out and about – noticing the colours, smelling the earthy soil or the rain, feeling the the warmth of the sun or the chill of the breeze, noticing textures and movements. This really helps us to connect more fully with our surroundings and to appreciate the beautiful things around us.

Day 3

In Day 3, the focus is about remembering happier times from past experiences and engaging with that positive energy.

This is especially important during these times of separation from family, friends and things that bring us hope and joy.

Bringing these past feelings of happiness back here to the present can be very comforting as we wait for a sense of normality to resume.

Day 4

Day 4 is about equipping you with a wonderful technique to help bring about a sense of calm whenever it is needed.
